Stoup was founded in 2013 by Brad Benson, Lara Zahaba, and Robyn Schumacher, three friends who left their established careers to pursue their passion for beer. Lara brought nearly two decades of experience in marketing and PR, Brad had a background as a forensic chemist, and Robyn spent 13 years as a high school biology teacher. Together, they created a family-friendly brewery that focuses on the community-building nature of beer. Stoup’s taprooms aim to bring people together, one pint at a time.
