The Symbols on Our Tap Lists

We have a handful of icons that mean stuff on the tap lists for the breweries we feature.

We think visual aids make a world of difference, so we slapped a few of them onto the tap lists, where appropriate.

Here's what they mean:

• Seasonal — this menu item only comes around a certain time of the year, but generally always comes around. These are most often things like Oktoberfest or winter beers, stuff that's season-dependent. Sometimes seasonal beers are also limited-release.
• Limited Release — this menu item is out for a limited time and so far as we know, once it's gone, it's gone. Sometimes a seasonal beer is also limited-release, meaning it's a limited relase that has a seasonal component to it (i.e. a winter beer that a brewery is only making once).
• Gluten-reduced — it is what it says on the tin. This beer is gluten-reduced as defined by the brewery. We don't have a process for certifying this statement, so we take them at their word.
